TSoul Beautifully Dives Into Current Material On The Voice With ‘Lay Me Down’ By Sam Smith

TSoul performed "Lay Me Down" by Sam Smith on The Voice to show off his vocals on a current song. Blake Shelton said that TSoul can work the stage and that he is learning something new about him each time he performs. TSoul took the piano at the start of the song before making his way into the audience.

Alicia Keys said that it was unfortunate that she was not closer to him when he was laying down and singing. She said that his gymnastic game while singing was mind blowing. Alicia said that he has something that is really special and would love to see him play more on the piano.

Blake called TSoul a beast. Blake never heard him sing that way. He commented how TSoul did not leave anything back. Blake believed that he is good.

What did you think of the performance? Let us know in the comments section.

When TSoul was a child, his grandmother would sit him at her piano and teach him how to play. The first time he sang in public was in the middle school choir. In college, TSoul joined his school's gospel choir, where he had the chance to perform all over Europe, including for the Pope at the Vatican. At 20 years old, with no job and no backup plan, TSoul decided to commit to following his dream of music completely while couch surfing with friends in New York and Atlanta. When he is not gigging or writing music, he helps with his family's catering business for extra income.

The Voice Social Media Reactions

The three-time Emmy Award-winning "The Voice" returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show's new season. Grammy Award-winning artist Gwen Stefani returns as a coach this season, joining megastars Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and host Carson Daly.

The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: the first begins with the blind auditions, followed by the battle rounds, the knockouts, the live playoffs and, finally, the live performance shows.

In the final live-performance phase of the competition, the Top 12 artists compete each week against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience votes to save their favorite artists. The three artists with the lowest number of votes are eligible for the "Instant Save." These artists each perform a new song that represents why they should earn the save. Then, America has the opportunity to save their favorite performer by tweeting #VoiceSave along with the artist's name. The singers with the lowest number of votes are sent home each week. In the end, one is named "The Voice" and receives the grand prize of a recording contract.
