It’s National Small Business Week!

It’s our favorite week of the year: Small Business Week! While we always cheer for small and micro businesses, we look forward to this week when everyone else tips their hats to entrepreneurs’ incredible accomplishments. Starting today, the U.S. Small Business Administration has a week full of events that are designed for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

First, what is Small Business Week? It’s a week-long event that recognizes the significant impact of small businesses and entrepreneurs on the United States. Since inception in 1963, every year the President of the United States issues a Small Business Week proclamation.

Each year, it becomes more and more important to acknowledge small business because

more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.”

That is simply incredible – and certainly worthy of recognition!
